The winter session of the Maharashtra legislature shall be held in Mumbai as a substitute of Nagpur from December 22 to twenty-eight, state Legislative Affairs Minister Anil Parab mentioned on Monday. The choice to shift the venue of the session from Nagpur to Mumbai is taken contemplating the well being of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. The CM had undergone backbone surgical procedure earlier this month and he has been suggested to not make journeys that require flying.

“Because the chief minister wished to stay current for the session, it was determined to shift the venue to Mumbai for the winter session,” Parab informed reporters after attending the assembly of the Enterprise Advisory Council (BAC).

He mentioned a choice to increase the period of the session shall be taken on December 24.

Parab mentioned within the first week, the session shall be held on December 22-24. Eleven payments and one appropriation invoice shall be tabled, he mentioned.

As per the conference, the winter session of the state legislature is held in Nagpur, the second capital of Maharashtra, yearly.

Parab additionally mentioned a choice on which session shall be carried out in Nagpur shall be taken after a gathering with the chief minister.
