VIJAYAWADA: The income division has taken disciplinary motion in opposition to 38 officers for tampering with land information on the Webland portal. Within the final 4 months, the division has cracked down on officers for irregularities in land information on the Webland portal.
Motion was taken in opposition to tahsildars who misused digital keys, deputy tahsildars who gave false experiences, income inspectors and village income officers. Notices have been despatched to the officers involved. The division has stored these orders confidential, a senior officer stated.
Of the 38 officers, 11 are tahsildars. Sources stated that three of them (one in Kadapa district and two in Chittoor district) have been dismissed from service within the wake of significant allegations. Eight tahsildars in Kurnool, Kadapa, Anantapur, Nellore and different districts had been suspended for deleting the names of the unique claimants within the accounts of the assigned lands and including the names of others, for failing to guard public land and for making arbitrary corrections within the accounts of the personal lands.
Six tahsildars got reversions to lower-tier posts (deputy tahsildar or RI) on the identical prices. Of the six tahsildars, three are in Anantapur district, one in Chittoor, and one in Prakasam.
