The loudest have gotten to be Staff USA. They’ve introduced alongside sticks and are placing them to good use. Chants of “USA” and “Caeleb Dressel” rang out because the American swimmer took to the pool and delivered a world file time of 49.45 seconds to take gold within the 100 meter butterfly.

Dressel’s sportsmanship was on show, too, on the finish of that race, as he raised the arm of Hungary’s Kristof Milak, who completed second, into the air.

There was one other probability for the US supporters to have fun shortly afterward. Katie Ledecky took gold within the 800 meter freestyle following a fantastic battle together with her Australian rival, Ariarne Titmus, who claimed silver.
