PUDUCHERRY: Chief Minister V Narayanasamy on Tuesday categorically said that the reservation of seats for the scholars of the Union Territory in MBBS admissions in JIPMER will proceed.

In a digital press convention, Narayanasamy stated JIPMER has 200 seats obtainable — 150 seats in Puducherry campus and 50 in Karaikal campus. Out of this, 54 seats are reserved for the scholars of Puducherry UT.

Although the method of admission has modified to NEET-based choice and counselling via Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), the Directorate Basic of Well being Companies, Ministry of Well being and Household Welfare, has stated that the previous sample of reservation of seats for Puducherry college students will proceed.
